Which Wich sandwich shop is coming to London

Which Wich sandwich shop is coming to London

What: Which Wich

In a nutshell: Build your own sandwiches with this US chain

Summing it all up: Another US chain is looking to make a splash in London with the arrival of Which Wich. It's a build your own sandwich place with all manner of options available to you.

The low-down

Another US chain is looking to break the UK market as Which Wich are getting ready to open in Central St Giles.

We'll admit that we haven't come across them before, but they essentially seem to be a build your own sandwich shop. An upmarket Subway, if you will (although we're pretty sure that's not how they'd bill themselves). In the States, they have 500 locations apparently, so expect this to be the start of a roll-out across town and country.

As for the premise? Apparently, you mark your ingredients on a sandwich bag, that's fired across a zip wire for the people behind the counter to make your sarnie for you (and they're baked in the oven too). The menu will be tailored to local tastes and produce and as well as bread, they can wrap things in lettuce, a spinach tortilla, prepare as a salad and a[pparently do something that's called "skinnying" your bread.

We're pretty sure you'll be able to get some of their key sandwiches, so those are the Philly Cheesesteak, Ultimate BLT, Reuben, and their signature "Wicked" - that's "turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, and bacon, plus your choice of three cheeses and any additional toppings you want." So that isn't one of the diet options then.
