Milk Burger in Notting Hill sees another Michelin-starred chef take on posh burgers

Milk Burger is opening in Notting Hill

Every time we think London's obsession with burgers is about to take a downturn, along comes another slew of new openings to prove us wrong. And right now the city is in the grips of the chef-led burger. We've had Jackson Boxer turn things up with his limited edition offerings at Vesper and chef Jordan Bailey (who formerly had two Michelin stars at Aimsir) is going big with his Heard restaurants, which are just about to open their third space.

Now, entering the fray, is Milk Burger in Notting Hill. The executive chef here is Jorge Paredes, who was Head Chef at OMA and AGORA when it got its first Michelin star, and previously headed up the kitchens at Sabor. He's turning his culinary skills to the not-so-humble burger, with options here including a bone marrow & truffle burger and spicy smash burger. And those burgers will be paired with a serious Champagne list.

The folks behind this are Kyiv restaurateurs Alina Kosichkina and Dima Zakhodiakin. We last reported on them when they were planning to open a similarly named venture Birdmilk in Notting Hill two years ago. That didn't happen in the end (the site is now where queue-tastic Yo-Chi is). They're hoping for better luck with their second go at a London opening, and it does sound like they're throwing their all behind it, bringing in the same designer who did The Chiltern Firehouse to give this new burger restaurant the It Factor.
