They're one of our favourite local wine bars, with shops on Newington Green and Highbury Corner, and now Yield are consolidating their North London holding with a third opening, in Angel.
In a few weeks' time they'll be throwing open the doors to their Essex Road site. As they explained to Hot Dinners. "Our newest site, Yield Essex Road has the same vibe as our St Paul’s Road site, but a very different offering to our flagship in Newington Green, recently voted Coolest Neighbourhood 2026.
"We’ll do both eat-in/drink-in and takeaway, with wines to take away as well as to enjoy on site. And there’ll still be plenty of wine, cheese, charcuterie and nibbles, just a smaller, more carefully selected range."
The new wine bar and shop is opening on the same stretch of Essex Road as Jolene, which is also their neighbour on Newington Green. And if you haven't been to a Yield before, you can expect a really thoughtful selection of natural wines along with some very good cheese and charcuterie. The staff are always absolutely lovely too.
