McDonald's are popping up with a butcher's in Shoreditch where you can make your own burgers

McDonald's are bringing a pop-up butcher to Shoreditch where you can make your own burgers

Shoreditch has been home to quite a few mad pop-ups, but we're rather liking the idea of this latest one which sees McDonald's opening a butcher's.

Taking over a corner site on Shoreditch High Street, the pop-up is designed like a traditional butcher's, with the British and Irish beef that goes into a McDonald's burger all laid out. Apparently, the idea behind it is to showcase that the burgers at McDonald's really are just made of beef with a little added salt and pepper and nothing else. As part of the pop-up, you can book a free masterclass that will let you go behind the scenes and make your own burgers, which you'll be able to take home.

Alas, it looks like the masterclass is the only way you'll be able to pick up a patty, so get in fast to grab one of the last remaining places. But if you have always wanted to know how they make the burgers, their own butchers will be around to chat all day and they'll have some special The Counter merch for those who weren't able to book the masterclasses.
