Shoreditch has been home to quite a few mad pop-ups, but we're rather liking the idea of this latest one - McDonald's are opening a butcher.
Taking over a corner site on Shoreditch High Street, the pop-up is designed like a traditional butcher's, with the British and Irish beef that goes into a McDonald's burger all laid out. Apparently, the idea behind it is to showcase that the burgers at McDonald's really are just made of beef with a little added salt and pepper. As part of the pop-up, you can book a free masterclass that will let you go behind the scenes and let you make your own burgers, which you'll be able to take home.
Alas, it looks like the masterclass is the only way you'll be able to pick up a patty, so get in fast to grab one of the last remaining places. But if you have always wanted to know how they make the burgers, their own butchers will be around to chat all day and they should have some merch on offer too.
