Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project is back with Oxo, Lurpak and Yorkshire pudding among the flavours

Now in its fifth year, fashion designer Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project is already raising eyebrows with flavour combinations that are strangely familiar (thanks to the theme of leaning on common larder/household items) yet a little perplexing when delivered in an ice-cream scoop or a 500ml takeaway tub. Indeed, ‘unexpectedly delicious’ is the tagline, but we don’t think anyone saw the likes of Euthymol Original Toothpaste coming!

Once again, the Anya Cafe will be the place to be (hot tip: book now – minimum of two people, £50 per person) for the Ice Cream Project Blind Tasting Tea. This is your chance to live your food-judge dreams and try 15 of the cult flavours with wafers and sprinkles, while doing your best to recognise the ingredients and rating them on a scorecard. The ice creams are handmade in small batches in Devon, and we’ve ranked this year’s flavours in order, from reassuringly comforting to WTF:
