NYC's Magnolia Bakery is coming to London, popping up at Cafe Ciel for one month only

It's been 30 years since Magnolia Bakery first opened in New York. It was catapulted to fame after appearing in Sex and the City a few years later and is still something of a pilgrimage for anyone visiting New York for the first time. But now you don't even have to do that, as the bakery is coming to London - kind of.

As the Chelsea Flower Show kicks off, the courtyard of The OWO is to be festooned with flowers and its courtyard spot Cafe Ciel is taking the opportunity for a Magnolia Bakery team-up. They'll have a special kiosk in the courtyard where they'll be selling Magnolia's classic banana pudding, as well as their take on a sticky toffee pudding. Working with Cafe Ciel, they'll also have an iced matcha version of the banana pudding and even an iced coffee that's topped with the pudding.

If you go into Cafe Ciel itself, there will also be a few Magnolia Bakery-inspired dishes, like a banoffee French toast, American pancakes and an NYC bagel.

There will, however, not be any cupcakes. You'll still have to go to New York for those (unless they decide to open a proper outpost here).
