Ever since Jason Atherton announced that Little Social was closing, we had been hearing murmurings behind the scenes that something was brewing with the site and his top chef, Spencer Metzger. Now it's been revealed, Atherton and Metzger are joining forces once more, this time for Chez Rose.
Of course, their first team-up, Row on 5, has already earned two Michelin stars, and although this restaurant will again be led by Metzger, it will be a very different affair. It's going to be a modern French bistro that's been inspired by Spencer's grandmother. But even though the opening of the restaurant is less than a month away, little has been revealed about the menu. They're describing it as "simple and considered, with quality produce, balanced flavours, and technique that allows super seasonal ingredients to speak for themselves."
So there's a lot more information to come. Given how soon it's opening, we don't expect the design of the former Little Social to have had a major refit either. In fairness, it's a space that very much lends itself to a French bistro.
We'll have more news on this one in the run-up to the launch.
