It's always a glittering party for those writing in the food and drink world, and last night's Fortnum's awards held at The Royal Exchange, and hosted by Andi Oliver and Angela Hartnett, proved no exception. The annual ceremony focuses on writing and broadcasting, and covers a host of topics from cookery books through to content creators.
It was a good year for the likes of Food Behind Bars, a charity who work on food education and wellbeing in prisons across the UK and for BBC's Sheila Dillon, who picked up a gong for her work on The Food Programme. But we were surprised to see wine content creator Luke Flunder in the 'rising star' category. For anyone who watches his videos on TikTok, he's been getting tens of thousands of views for his irreverent take on supermarket wines for years.

- Food writer - Yemisí Aribisala
- Cookery writer - Nick Bramham
- Drink writer - Joel Harrison
- Restaurant writer - Joanna Taylor (pictured above receiving her award)
- Programme - Hebridean Baker: Nordic Islands
- Audio - The Food Chain: A Place at the Table: Fostering and Adoption

- Fortnum's Impact Award - Food Behind Bars
- Content creator of the year - Ash Barber
- Rising star content creator of the year - Luke Flunders
And the Fortnum's Special Award, voted for members of the public went to Sheila Dillon.
