Anna Haugh, Grace Dent and Matt Tebutt join the MasterChef presenting teams

To lose one headline presenter is a misfortune. To lose both, well, that looks like carelessness. But the good news is that the MasterChef team has wasted no time in deciding who its new hosts will be following the departure of both Gregg Wallace and John Torode. In an announcement yesterday they revealed that the two new hosts would be Anna Haugh and Grace Dent making it an all-female team that we're presuming the BBC are hoping will futureproof them against more scandal.

"Grace and Anna are already part of the MasterChef family," said the corporations's Head of Entertainment Kalpna Patel-Knight, "and together have culinary credentials that are second to none."

Both women have made regular appearances on the show in the past with Grace being a regular guest critic and Anna judging both MasterChef The Professionals in 2022 and appearing in the final week of this year's MasterChef.

The final new recruit to the MasterChef stable is TV host Matt Tebutt, who was also confirmed this past week as a judge for MasterChef: The Professionals, joining Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti.
