Just six months after he graduated from slinging burgers in a food truck to opening a burger restaurant in Borough Market, chef Jordan Bailey is already planning an expansion of his burger empire. The chef who won two Michelin stars at his now-closed Irish restaurant Aimsir had a slew of great reviews for his smash burgers at Heard. But now he's expanding both the restaurant and menu with a new opening in Carnaby.
The restaurant in Foubert's Place is a little smaller than his Borough venture, but the menu is bigger. New dishes include the Soho burger, which will be Heard's first non smash burger. All the burgers feature patties made with aged British beef and are served in Heard's signature butter-toasted, roast potato buns.
Both the Soho and Borough restaurants will continue the novel idea of having each burger paired with a beer or wine. That idea comes courtesy of Jordan's wife, the highly rated sommelier Majken Bech-Bailey. This will also be a place to enjoy pre or post-dinner cocktails as there's a bar downstairs, while the upstairs section is more of a grab-and-go kind of vibe.
