Il Bambini Club is an Italian restaurant, known for its extravagant design, but originating in Paris and with a giant lemon meringue pie on the menu. While this might sound a bit like Big Mamma, it's definitely got more of a high-end reputation in Paris, and you'll be able to check it out for yourself soon, as they're gearing up to open in London.
The restaurant, which is run by chic Parisian restaurant group Paris Society (Gigi, Louie and Maxims to name a few), is coming to The Hoxton in Shoreditch. This will be their second venture outside Paris, as they also have an Il Bambini Club in Megeve. Menus do differ, but common dishes between the two that you might see coming to London include the following:
- Stracciatella with basil oil focaccia toastie
- Truffled tagliatelle
- Veal Milanese with rocket and Parmesan
The Italian trattoria will they say be "a vibrant escape filled with fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, and plenty of spritzes." It'll take over the ground-floor restaurant area of The Hoxton and should be open into the night if you're up for late-night drinks and bites with friends.
