Kerb are on something of a roll at the moment. They have just announced a new weekend market in Leyton, hot on the heels of their big Canada Water opening, and now they're opening something brand new in Spitalfields called Kerb Social Club.
The new space is on the edge of the market and a two-floor affair that they're billing as being all about "American sports bar energy fused with pub comfort". They're bringing in a bit of what they know with three food residencies on the ground floor. They will be Only Jerkin’ with their fried chicken, Oh My Dog serving hot dogs and Cutie Pies with their Detroit-style pizza (new to London, following a recent Brighton residency). It's not confirmed, but we wouldn't be surprised to see them rotate residencies in this space after a while.
Upstairs, they have a terrace bar overlooking the market and five private rooms to book, each with extras like karaoke and a Nintendo Switch for Mario Kart battles. Screens in the main bar space will also be showing big sports events.
It's a different type of space for Kerb, but they're very good at these new concepts, and there's nothing else quite like this in Spitalfields, so it might be worth checking out.
