Right now they only have one restaurant open, in St Pancras, but Sushinoya are about to hit the London restaurant scene hard with three central London openings planned this year. And if you're a sushi stan then the arrival of this mid-tier fast food sushi restaurant definitely sounds like it's going to be an interesting addition. The key thing is the man behind it, Korean businessman Dong Hyun Kim who founded Wasabi. Sushinoya is apparently going to be a whole different ballgame.
With sushi chefs breaking down whole fish in front of customers, their USP is going to be fast, sustainable sushi that's always made fresh on site. You can either pick from box selections put together by the restaurant or go 'omakase' style and pick individual pieces of sushi to make up your own selection. There are four premium sushi sets - saba mackerel, teriyaki eel, seabass and chu toro tuna as well as a range of onigiri, matcha drinks and more.
With St Pancras already open, it looks like Moorgate is the next location to power up. Expect to see a load of these on a high street near you soon.
