Three restaurants in three years - restaurateurs Kevin Cheong and Keng Yew Leong have been busy building their Chinatown empire. In 2022 they opened The Eight - a Hong Kong-style cafe. At the beginning of this year, they unveiled Yiqi and now they're gearing up to open their third restaurant, SanHao.
SanHao, which will take over the space left by Wan Chai Corner on Gerrard Street, will focus on hand-pulled noodles and soups. The news was announced by restaurant property folk Shaftesbury Capital who said that the new restaurant would feature an interior inspired by Jiangnan in East China.
On the menu, there'll be everything from popular egg noodle soup Ban Mian to soups from across China and Southeast Asia. The kitchen will also be cooking pan-fried buns to order. Specific dishes you'll be able to look forward to include:
- Alaska Crab Noodles
- Black Truffle Wild Mushroom Noodle Soup
- Cappuccino Free Range Chicken Noodle Soup.
