We already knew they were bringing El Pastor to Battersea, but much like their other recent developments, the Harts Group don't just stop at one new opening. It turns out they're opening a second outpost of their Drop bar, previously seen at King's Cross, aptly called Two Drops.
While the original was wine-focused, the aim for this is a little wider. They're pitching it as a neighbourhood bar selling "wine, beer, baps" and more. On the menu, that translates to cheese toasties - sourdough filled with French Jurarégal cheese. Extra toastie fillings will include salt beef with pickled gherkin and horseradish, smoked haddock and English mustard as well as marmite and shallot. Expect special toastie collabs too.
Other than toasties, there will be seasonal soups, a cheese board, roasted potatoes and crispy chicken goujons with a chipotle sweet chilli sauce. Toasties are back for dessert, with a dulce de leche, caramelised banana and hazelnut version to finish.
For drinks, there will be beer on tap (including Guinness), wines and a small cocktail list including an espresso martini made from the coffee they serve in the bar. As for the place itself, alongside seating about 60 inside, they'll also have a small terrace by the river. And, as described by their MD Crispin Somerville, it's viewed as a "cosy and welcoming bolthole".
