17/1/24 - updated with opening details.
Just a few short months after they closed their store in Bevis Marks, to the despair of City workers, sandwich folk Dom's Subs are storming back, opening up not one but two sandwich shops in the Square Mile again. Back in October, they opened at Ludgate Circus in an incredibly small space described by them as a "little teeny tiny sandwich kiosk".
Now they've unveiled their second City spot, sandwiched (see what we did there?) between Leadenhall and Fenchurch Street. For this, they've taken over the site of a much-loved spot, Earls Sandwiches, which closed back in 2022 after serving up sarnies to the City crowd for more than 40 years. "New Year, new shop," the Dom's Subs team declared adding, "we're looking forward to seeing everyone down in our new site."
All in all, it's a good news day for City wage slaves who love a great sandwich.
