London does love a themed cafe and the one arriving in West London this summer is going to go big on one ingredient, oats. OATIS will be open for breakfast and lunch on Queensway and oats will be at the heart of everything they serve. And these are not just any old oats but steel-cut oats which, we're told, gives them more 'bite'.
To kick off your day there will be oat bowls, smoothies and pancake offerings like the Blueberry Business pancakes with blueberry and lemon compote, roasted coconut and almond brittle.
For lunch, things move up a notch to sandwiches, salads and savoury bowls like:
- Steel Cut Club - poached chicken breast, crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pecorino crisp and almond gremolata
- Sesame Miso Salmon - sesame-crusted salmon, smacked pickled cucumber, avocado, crispy shallots and miso and ginger dressing.
With everything carefully considered, from their suppliers like Honest Oats through to how they prepare the oats (using only water) they're hoping their attention to detail will win them the hearts of Notting Hill foodies.
