Cinquento pizzeria first opened its doors in Chelsea last Christmas and, during lockdown, expanded with a kitchen in Battersea. Now they're getting ready to open its second eat-in pizzeria, on Portobello Road.
The key difference with the new place though will be that it's split into a dining room at the back and a grab and go place at the front. So you can just drop by for a slice of pizza or some aracinini to take away, or settle down for a full pizza. Or - and we would strongly suggest this - have a go at their frittatina made with bucatini pasta, bechamel, cured ham and black pepper.
Dishes should taste pretty authentic as there are two southern-born Italian chefs behind the place - Carmelo Meli and Emanuele Tagliarina, who ran kitchens at both Franco Manca and Santa Maria pizzeria.
