Over in Stratford, one of the biggest selling points of the new Allegra restaurant at The Stratford was its beautiful seventh floor terrace. But the restaurant, which opened at the end of last summer, hasn't properly had a chance to showcase this space to guests yet.
Thankfully, come 10 July, that's all about to change. That's when they're opening their large terraced area and - best of all - they'll be taking bookings for that too.
Allegra's head chef Patrick Powell said, "we are incredibly excited to share our heated outdoor space with our guests."
If you haven't had a chance to get up there yet, it's actually a huge wrap around terrace that takes up all the space on the seventh floor not already occupied by the restaurant itself. They describe it as "an elevated meadow of wildflowers, water features and cedar pathways".
On the menu will be:
- Falmouth oyster, pickled seaweed mignonette
- Fried chicken, roast garlic aioli, mustard fruit
- Crispy duck, damson & apple
- Frozen peanut and chocolate bar
