In a nutshell: Forza Win heads to the rooftops

Summing it all up: Forza Win are opening their second restaurant, and this time they're heading back to the rooftops with Forza Wine. They'll be at the top of the Market building in Peckham, serving Italian small plates, flatbreads and wine, of course. 

The low-down

Forza Wine sees the team behind Forza Win going back to its roots. They originally started on an east London rooftop way back in 2012 (then teaming up with a fledgling Pizza Pilgrims) and now they're heading back to the roof with Forza Wine, this time in Peckham. 

Forza Wine will be on the top of the Market building in Peckham (where you'll also find Tonkotsu inside), a newly refurbished Edwardian building that's also a co-working space. They'll have plenty of room too, seating 40 inside (because weather) with 60 on the terrace (when the weather behaves). 

Here's some of what's planned for the menu:

  • Grilled frigatelli peppers
  • Fontina toastie with hot sauce
  • Lamb and rosemary spiedini, anchovy sauce
  • Cauliflower fritti
  • Chicken Milanese and aioli
  • Soft serve & salted olive oil caramel, biscotti

On top of that, there will be grilled flatbreads (with tomato sauce/sausage and onion ragu/courgette & basil). And then there's what may look like the perfect lunch dish - beans on toast with fontina and Parmesan. We'd have that for lunch any day of the week. 

Yes, of course there'll be wine. House wines are on tap, with a 36 strong carefully chosen wine list - and there'll also be Italian cocktails. 

They describe is as "an unpretentious room with beautiful views" and it sounds like the perfect place to spend an evening gazing across South London.
