BAO Fitz is kicking off the Autumn with a series of late-night bar takeovers, every one of which sounds worth attending. They've invited three really interesting bars from across the globe to London. Each will be in town for one night when they'll serve up a special drink and BAO will be pairing that with dishes including - wait for it - a one-off katsu sando creation. Each drink will then be on offer for the following week.
5 September: The first to arrive will be Copenhagen based Empirical Spirits. We recently tried some of their drinks at PX+ Festival and they pretty much blew us away. Their drink will be a bespoke cocktail focusing on flavour and detail served alongside a Fried Chicken Bao with Empirical Sauce.
12 September: Hong Kong's RŌNIN bar will hit town. Their drink will be inspired by their amazing Japanese whisky collection and will be matched with a limited edition Shirako Tempura Bao.
19 September - finally they'll welcome Katana Kitten: a new Japanese-American bar from NYC who'll be serving KK -Panda Fizz’s, Toki Highballs and Sencha & Gin Tonics. These will be served with BAO’s limited Mortadella Katsu Sando Bao.
If you fancy heading over to try any of the drink and bao combos, they'll be opening an hour later than normal with the last food orders being taken at 11pm.
