Three Uncles' first restaurant will be at Liverpool Street serving up Chinese roast meats and more

threeuncles

What: Three Uncles

In a nutshell: Chinese roast meats for Liverpool Street workers

Summing it all up: A trio of friends are opening their first restaurant on Devonshire Row, serving up Chinese roast meats, noodles and dim sum

The low-down

While they wait for licensing issues to be sorted out on their Holloway site, roast meat folk Three Uncles are already moving ahead with another opening. They'll be throwing open the doors to their first restaurant beside Liverpool Street next month, taking over the space where Poncho 8 used to be.

We're assured that the menu is almost exactly the same as what they had planned for their North London stall, so that's traditional, chopped-to-order Siu Mei - choose from Char Siu or Sui Yuk pork or roast duck - which will come with pak choi and steamed jasmine rice. But they are planning a larger selection of hot and cold ‘grab and go’ specials

They'll also serve up Hainan Chicken Rice, Lo Mein Noodles and a selection of Dim Sum that includes Char Siu Bao, Veggie Bao and Handmade pork and prawn wontons in spicy chilli oil.
