Flying under the radar, a new slow food bar and diner has just opened in Farringdon. Lazybones focuses on all manner of slow food from pulled pork to brisket in the new venue just off Cowcross Street.
On the menu is an eight hour, cooked in pale ale, pulled pork & slaw sandwich served with cabbage, carrot, fennel, beetroot, celeriac, radish and yoghurt slaw (£7.95), and Beef Brisket , slow cooked for six hours and seasoned with smoked paprika, oregano, peppers and chilli with crushed avocado chilli and lime on seeded sourdough (£7.50).
There are a few faster foods on the menu too - wings in three house marinades, hot dogs (Naked - £3.75, New Yorker - £5.95), or Chilli-Dog - £6.95) and a range of DIY savoury popcorn to which you can add hot & spicy, cheddar cheese, sour cream and chive or ranch seasonings (small/ £2.00 large/£4.00). Alternatively, you can have beer sticks (salami sticks) as a bar snack.
Alongside this, expect plenty of beers and ciders including Moosehead Pale Ale, Dixie, Lone star and Red Pig Ale as well as Hobo and Rekorderlig, and cocktails including a maple old-fashioned and Lazy Cosmo in a bar where you can control the jukebox from your phone.
Lazybones is open now at Unit 5 Cowcross Street London EC1M 6DQ. Opening hours are Monday-Friday 11am to 11pm; Saturday 5pm to 11pm.
