Honours List

We're nearly at the end of the year and that means it's time for the publication of the New Year's Honours list and a quick scour through the list to see which people in the hospitality industry made the cut. This year, it's the turn of three well-known chefs, each getting themselves a shiny new MBE.

Four people who are definitely starting 2022 on a high are the chef Angela Harnett, hotelier Robin Hutson, cookery writer Claudia Roden and restaurateur Amrit Maan. They're all beneficiaries in the New Year's Honours List.

It's nearly time for 2017 - which will be a blessing for many - but before we get to the festivities, there's just the matter of the New Year Honours list. You'll have read about many of the celebs who are getting awarded this year, but we're calling out a couple of names from the London restaurant industry who also got recognised. 

First off, there's Mark Hix - the restaurateur known for Hix

The full list of the Queen's New Year honours was released today and there are several notable food and restaurant folk on this year's list.

Perhaps the best known are Jeremy King and Chris Corbyn the restaurateurs behind Rex Restaurants which you'll know better as the Wolseley, Delaunay, Brasserie Zedel and Colbert. Both were given an OBE in recognition for their contributions to the hospitality industry, but also for voluntary service to the
