The Gaucho group is back from administration woes with a new CEO and a new concept, starting with a reinvention of its Charlotte Street site.

The next restaurant from steak masters Flat Iron is something of a departure. They'll be concentrating on bavette steak - and pairing that with a huge range of wines by the magnum.

If you're a fan of Flat Iron's steak great value steak, then you'll be very pleased to hear they're opening a new branch in Spitalfields - which will be very handy for city-folk. 

The spot under Hungerford Bridge is a prime one for London foodies to keep an eye on. After all, this is where both Pitt Cue and Bleecker have plied their trade in the early days. Now there's a new trader in town. Truffle have opened a summer long residency under the bridge in a shipping container. They'll be serving up a range of burgers (meat and veggie) all with their hit of truffle along with steak and a range of sides.

The Guinea Grill has been serving up excellent steaks since the 1950s and their reputation is only getting greater. We pop down to put those steaks to the test. 

Keeping it simple at Borough Market this spring are The Beefsteaks.
