  Fortnum and Mason's Diamond Jubilee salon was heaving last night with the unpasteurised cream of the food world, there to celebrate the Piccadilly's food store's sixth annual Food & Drink Awards. Hot Dinners spotted all manner of people in the fray including Mary Berry, Rick Stein, Mark Hix, Nuno Mendes, Jose Pizarro - and even Piers Morgan.

  Is it awards season already? GQ kicked things off this week with their food and drink awards, with both the new - Core by Clare Smyth - and the older - Bob Bob Ricard getting recognised. And there's also deserved recognition of the Sethis who seem to have a golden touch on their restaurants (Bao, Lyles, Bubbledogs, Hoppers to name a few).

• TĀ TĀ Eatery is Kensal Rise's Borough Wine & Beers first pop-up

  

  Borough Wine & Beers, who know a thing or two about hosting pop-ups, has announced that its first residency in their Kensal Rise branch will be Zijun Meng and Ana Goncalves of the Portuguese/Chinese-inspired restaurant TĀ TĀ Eatery. It’ll be a three-month residency, and form part of Borough Wine Kensal Rise's Chef Development Series.

• Where to get the best kebabs in London right now

  

  Last night the 6th British kebab awards took place with what's rapidly becoming a legendary awards party. 2017's event - which took place on the same night as the Oscars - briefly outdid the Academy Awards for trending on Twitter. It turned out to be quite an emotional night with organiser Ibrahim Dogus declaring that; "In an otherwise darkened street, the kebab shop is the light that never goes out."
