Soho's Kiln is crowned top restaurant in the UK at the 2018 National Restaurant Awards

The National Restaurant Awards have been announced and it's very good news for Soho's Kiln. Last year it was a new entry at number nine - and now it's jumped right to the top of the list. And it's not the only restaurant Ben Chapman has in the top 100 as the new Smoking Goat in Shoreditch also makes it to number 68. 

Another big winner is Sabor - the Nieves Barragan restaurant (who also won Chef's Chef of the Year) jumps straight into the list at number two, while Core by Clare Smyth is a new entry at number four and Brat is a new entry at number 14.

London is still a big deal on the list - taking up 53 of the 100 spaces and half of the top 10 (although that's actually two down on last year). And deserved congrats to Tom Brown's Cornerstone - we'll expect that to be a big new entry in next year's awards...
