  The team responsible for The Culpeper in Aldgate have a new project - they're opening this pub and hotel on Brick Lane where the rooftop terrace features an honesty bar and hot tub.

• Robata on Old Compton Street is serving up Japanese izakaya dishes in Soho

  

  Soho's latest opening is a Japanese izakaya-style spot. Robata, which officially opened its doors on Old Compton Street today, is a project from entrepreneur Sonny Huang whose family has two Chinese restaurants in Birmingham.

  Sonny has teamed up with designers turnerbates Design & Architecture to come up with this Japanese pub serving up dishes cooked over the open robata grill. On the menu you'll find:

• Ben Tish and The Stafford team up for Norma, a Sicilian restaurant in Fitzrovia

  Already working together on their hotel, Ben Tish (ex Salt Yard) and the Stafford Hotel are teaming up to create a new restaurant in Fitzrovia called Norma. Expect a Sicilian menu with Moorish influences.

  There's a distinct Spanish flavour to restaurateur Victor Garvey's new City gaff which promises to liven things up in Aldgate.

• Parrillan is the DIY outside grill at Barrafina Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross

  Barrafina's counter dining is already a big hit in all its locations - and now they're trying something new at King's Cross. They're launching Parrillan - an outside space where you can grill your own meat, fish and vegetables. 

• Latteria Italian cafe opens in Islington

  A new Italian cafe on Islington's Essex Road comes from a seasoned restaurateur and promises an all-day menu based on the cafes of Milan. 

• Santo Mare in Marylebone and Osteria Napoletana in Notting Hill sees restaurateur Andrea Reitano focus on Italian produce

• Endo at Rotunda sees sushi master Endo Kazutoshi opening at Television Centre

  The former executive sushi chef at Zuma is opening a tiny sushi restaurant in the Television Centre at White City development. With just 15 seats expect this to be a restaurant booking to boast about.

• On The Bab opens on Soho's Archer Street

  

  It's all go for On The Bab. The Korean street food spot has moved from Marylebone to Soho and opens today on Archer Street, replacing owner Linda Lee's Mee Market.

  The new Soho restaurant will serve up the usual bibimbab, bao, dumplings and Korean fried chicken that the group has become known for. But there'll also be a few new things on the menu, exclusive to Soho - including a Korean-style wrap - stuffed with rice, vegetables and kimchi and your choice of bulgogi
