Once again, London is getting ready for another great-sounding Meatopia festival over in Tobacco Dock. Every year (this will be its seventh), a great selection of top chefs get together to create some truly excellent dishes - all created specifically for the festival. You won't see any of these dishes elsewhere. Oh, and a lot of meat is involved.
If you're in Camden hankering after a burger or steak sarnie then this ethical, sustainable spot in Stables Market could be just the thing for you.
Blacklock's third restaurant, in Shoreditch, turns out to be a light-filled dining room with a cracking cocktail list as well as all manner of meat treats.

City carnivores should look out for a new restaurant launching this Autumn. Little Smoke is from the team behind Smokehouse, The Pig and Butcher, and The Princess of Shoreditch. And it's ALL about meat - in particular native and rare breed meat. It's taking over the Bad Oeuf site in Citypoint.
The idea is that all the meat for the restaurant will be sourced from small independent farmers before being butchered on-site at sister restaurant

Thanks to an eagle-eyed Hot Dinners reader, our attention was brought to one of the biggest restaurant news stories of recent times. Turns out that Pitt Cue's Tom Adams and top NYC chef April Bloomfield have gone into the farming and guest house business together.
...The latest street food to grow roots is Walter and Monty - best known for popping up at Night Tales and more markets across London. Billed as "street food with Michelin expertise", it's from founder Alex Kaye (who's looking after the menu) and with Head Chef Nick Ross who has worked with American chefs Daniel Boulud and Scott Conant (Scarpetta).
