Tickets on sale for Disco Bistro farewell party

discobistrogoodbyeCarl Clarke, leader of the punk food revolution, has joined forces with three great chefs, in a bid to throw an explosive bash to bid farewell to his triumphant residency with Disco Bistro EC4 above the Rising Sun, St. Paul’s.

‘Goodbye for now’, which is being held this weekend at the Rotary Bar & Diner, will showcase a one-off four course menu devised by Carl himself, with a helping hand from the three James - James 'Jocky' Petrie (The Fat Duck), James Knappett (Bubbledogs) and James Lowe (Young Turks). The menu is set to feature such delights as ‘beer chips’, and ‘tipsy cake’.

DJs for the night include Gizzi Erskine, Andrew Watherall, Justin Robertson and a top-secret special guest. With sponsors Courvoisier providing a welcome drink and all for just £45, it’s set to be a recipe for success. The organisers have anticipated the demand for the event to be so high, that they are also releasing 100 tickets to the after party at £20 each. However, the grooving merrymakers will not boogying on empty stomachs; they will be fuelled by Carl’s beloved sandwich, The ‘Disco’ Zinger Tower Burger.

The mouth-watering creation is the brainchild of the four chefs, each focusing one aspect of the burger. Jocky packs the punch with his 18 month aged chilli salt, James Knappett is concocting bacon jam, James Lowe is laying on the pickles and Carl is frying the chicken, obviously. The buns will be accompanied with Disco Bistro's signature cheesy chips with smoked short rib and crispy onions.

‘Goodbye for Now’ takes place on Sunday 26 May from 4pm until late. Tickets are on sale now at http://bit.ly/goodbyediscobistro.
