Updated 16/3/15 with menu and soft launch details

We were wondering where Diego Cardoso, the former Head Chef of Murano, was going to appear next and it turns out it's Fitzrovia. He's going to be the Executive chef at Percy & Founders, a new all day restaurant and bar opening there.

The 200 seat space is the first opening by a new company Open House which is tied to the team behind Cubitt House (The Orange & The Grazing Goat gastropubs among others). It'll serve everything from morning coffee and breakfast through to lunch, dinner and evening cocktails.

Hot Dinners got an early look at the menu and it's a doozy. The main all day menu consists of six starters, six mains, salads, sides and ‘Classics to share’. There will also be a menu for Bar Snacks, Puddings and Sunday Roasts.

For starters expect lobster and prawn scotch egg with baby gem and shellfish mayo or maybe crispy short rib with radish & mustard crème fraiche. The mains section features chicken wellington with ale sauce or tagliatelle with spring greens, nettle and haytor cheeese. Desserts include Percy’s Mistresses with maple syrup butter. Even the bar snacks sound good - particularly the courgette wafers with cream cheese and Iberico ham.

As to where it's going to be, it'll be on the corner of Mortimer Street - part of the new Fitzroy Place development that's taken over where the Middlesex Hospital used to be. Percy & Founders takes its name from the Duke of Northumberland, Hugh Percy, & the group of philanthropists who founded Middlesex Hospital back in 1755.

Soft launch details:

For one week Percy & Founders will be running a soft launch offer of 50% off food from Thursday 26 March to Wednesday 1 April 2015. For the first day it'll be dinner only. They'll be open from 5pm and taking bookings from 7pm – 9pm. From 27 March to 1 April they'll be open for lunch (12-2pm) and dinner (7-9pm). To make a reservation email or call 020 3761 0200.

Percy & Founders will open officially on Thursday 2 April 2015 at 1 Pearson Square, Fitzroy Place, London, W1T 3BF,
