Passo hosts famous LA chef Nancy Silverton for a one week residency

Old Street’s big all-day Italian Passo is keeping busy since their November opening, with the arrival of huge LA chef Nancy Silverton for a short residency.

The Michelin starred-chef (who Netflix addicts may have caught on Chef’s Table) will be rocking up for one week only to churn out a sizeable seven-course feast, that’ll give you a taste of LA’s Italian food scene without needing to leave Zone 1. It's the chef's first residency outside of America, so it's a pretty big deal.

Many of the dishes will be lifted directly from her restaurants, which she has three of. There’ll be Mozzarella Caprese normally served in Pizzeria Mozza, grilled octopus with ceci from Chi Spacca and ricotta and brown butter ravioli from Osteria Mozza. A seating will cost £48 per person, not including optional wine pairings.

Head down a bit earlier in the day, and you’ll find pizza aplenty, made with Nancy’s carefully guarded recipe for 36-hour proofed dough. Given that she’s something of a renowned bread expert, it sounds well worth sticking your head in if you find yourself in the area for lunch.

When: 26-30 March

Where: Passo, 80 City Road, London EC1Y 2AS
