What you need to know about Delancey & Co
The new bar is influenced by Lower East Side NYC delis like Katz and Russ and Daughters (the latter which we loved on our last visit to New York), with "modern diner-style interiors featuring stool seating, marble counters with pop art and themed imagery adorning the walls".
The focus is on salt beef and smoked salmon (ethically sourced, of course). So that's rye bread piled high with warm, freshly carved salt beef and smoked salmon on bagels ("made by a traditional Jewish baker"). To accompany the bagels there will be six types of cream cheese, including pink horseradish and cracked black pepper and chilli.
They'll have Reuben sandwiches too - as well as some more "signature" sandwiches, cholla rolls, sweet and sour gherkins, "Jewish penicillin" (aka chicken soup) and a few other modernised NYC deli favourites.
And drinks. There will be American beers and prosecco on tap to wash it all down.
