Momo opens its doors for a special take on Afternoon Tea

momoteaFrazzled last-minute Christmas shoppers - or anyone planning to head into the West End for the January sales - should take note of a new haven at Momo on Heddon Street. The Moroccan restaurant has just launched an afternoon tea, offering classic tea time treats such as scones, more outre choices such as mini fruit cheesecakes and pistachio macaroons alongside authentic Maghrebine pastries and Moroccan chicken wraps.

As you'd imagine, there's mint tea on the menu along with other more exotic blends such as Hamman, a traditional Turkish recipe with green dates and red fruits, and Fakirs tea, blended with cardamom and citrus. Traditionalists can plump for Assam and Darjeeling and it's all served on just the prettiest Moroccan tiered cake stands.

Afternoon tea will be served between 2.30pm-5.30pm everyday with tea and scones starting at £9.50, the full afternoon tea for £22 per person and champagne tea at £32 per person.
