If we haven't already whet your appetite for the London Restaurant Festival, then let us do better. This morning, the festival organisers revealed a few more key details for this year's festival itinerary.
One of last year's popular events - the Gourmey Odyssey - where guests take a Routemaster tour of some of London's top restaurants - is returning (see what we thought of last year's Odyssey) Some of this year's itineraries have already been put together and are as follows:
Piccadilly Bus
Starter in Murano, main course at The Greenhouse, Pudding in Sake No Hana
Belgravia Bus
Starter at Nahm, main course at The Square, and pudding in Wild Honey
Park lane Bus
Starter at Scott's, main course at Benares and pudding at Theo Randall.
Although clearly, more odysseys are planned as Claude Bosi told us last week that he'd be taking part in the Gourmey Odyssey for a second year.
Tickets for all events go on general sale on 8 June, although American Express cardmembers can snap them up from today.
Other key events include the keynote debate 'Is French Food a Spent Force?' which we first reported last month. Proposing the motion will be London’s Chair of Food Rosie Boycott alongside broadcaster Janet Street-Porter. The pair will be up against Francophile food writer Jonathan Meades and the Sunday Times’ restaurant critic AA Gill. If you're still dithering, it's worth knowing that the evening starts with an selection of French and British cocktails and canapés.
Last year's festival Big Quiz saw critics pitted against chefs at Vinopolis. This year the quiz will be at Le Cafe Anglais with tickets including a three-course ‘Festival Menu’ created by chef-patron Rowley Leigh.
The London Restaurant Festival runs from 4-18 October 2010.
