Ledbury is National Restaurant Awards No 1 restaurant third year running

brettLast night's National Restaurant Awards saw Brett Graham's The Ledbury pick up the top slot in their 100 Best Restaurants for the third year in a row. The awards are decided by the 150-strong membership of the National Restaurant Awards Academy, which includes chefs, restaurateurs and critics.

In fact, London did pretty well all told, with 61 restaurants in the Top 100 list. High new entries were Quo Vadis at number 9 which should prove their new head chef Jeremy Lee, 10 Greek Street which entered at No 12 and Alyn Williams at the Westbury which hit the top 20 at number 15. Peruvian restaurant Lima was also named One To Watch.

The night was also good news for Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who saw all three of their current restaurants entering the list - The Delaunay, Wolseley and Brasserie Zedel. They also picked the Joint Personality of the Year award. In additional special awards, The River Cafe won best front of house, Texture got best wine list, Philip Howard was picked as Chef's Chef and Dinner by Heston got Hotel Restaurant of the Year.

Other new London entries were Pizarro, Dabbous (which may surprise some at only entering at number 31), Yauatcha, Upstairs at the 10 Bells, Hedone, St. John Soho, Burger and Lobster, Corrigan’s, La Petite Maison, The Delaunay, The Wolseley, Roka, MEATliquor, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Barrafina, Moro, CUT, Umu,Pitt Cue Co, Racine and Brasserie Zedel.
