Koya/Barrafina mash-up sees chefs swap kitchens

frithstreetexchangeLike a foreign exchange trip, only without the weepy phone calls home, the Frith Street Exchange will see the chefs of Barrafina and Koya swapping kitchens over the next two weeks.

On Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th June Barrafina's Nieves Barragan will join Koya's Junya Yamasaki at Koya where she will prepare a menu of lunch & dinner specials including cod tempura with Bilbaina sauce, crispy fried baby artichokes with ginger ali-oli and seafood udon.

A week later, on Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th June Junya will head over to Nieves at Barrafina where he will prepare and serve a Japanese-inspired list of lunch & dinner specials including udon tortilla and monkfish "agebitashi" with peas and jamon dashi.

As always, both restaurants will still be operating their walk-ins only policy - only you can probably expect it to be a LOT harder to get into them on those days. Both specials menus will be available at lunch and dinner and could well change, so the above dishes are more of a guide to the kind of lovely stuff you could be eating.
