Head to Shoreditch for the Fry Hard deep-fried Easter pop-up

fryhard

Ever wondered what a deep-fried hot cross bun tastes like? Or an Easter Sunday roast? Well now, thanks to the folks at Fry Hard you'll get the chance to try just that. Opening at Shoreditch's BOXPARK for the Easter weekend, this mashup between Miss Cakehead and London Mess is a variation on the single dish theme - in that everything on the menu will have been deep-fried.

Dishes they've already tested include deep frying cheese-strings, deep fried buttered crumpet, cheese filled hot cross buns and Tunnock’s Caramel, not to mention crème eggs. Worth making an advance booking is the fully-fried Sunday roast on Easter Sunday consisting of a whole fried lamb joint, roast potatoes, rosemary, carrots and sprouts for six people.

We haven't seen an advance menu, but apparently items are going to cost from £1 upwards and if the calorific intake isn't sufficient for you - you can add whipped cream, hot chocolate sauce, salted caramel and truffle honey too.

Fry Hard will be on the grass area at the corner of BOXPARK at 2 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6GY and Shoreditch High Street Station from 2-5 March 2015. Head to their Facebook page for more info.
