Grind comes to Exmouth Market

Exmouth Grind

What: Grind at Exmouth Market

In a nutshell: Knock out coffee and legendary espresso martinis.

Summing it all up: Grind’s eighth branch in Exmouth Market branch will have all of the above, plus a brand new all-day menu.

The low-down

Unstoppable East London coffee chain Grind, is at it again, this time with a new branch in Exmouth Market opening at the end of January.

After turning their hand to a cafe/restaurant/nightclub venue in Grind Clerkenwell only months ago, they’re continuing their streak with their an eighth venue based in Farringdon's vibrant Exmouth Market. It’ll be a large, 90-seater affair with loads of enticing menu options, as well as their all important espresso martinis.

Chef Kyle Boyce is at the helm in the kitchen, where he'll be dishing up meals from brunch until close. The brunch menu promises a bit of a change up from the usual, from the wild boar benedict with preserved lemon hollandaise and pickled red chillies to the or ‘nduja baked eggs with blood sausage, piquillo peppers and whipped feta. Meanwhile on the all-day menu, you can try 8-hour lamb shank with spiced sweet potato and coriander raita, steak with calcots and red pepper, heritage beetroot with burrata, pistachio and ciabatta or grilled octopus with fennel and grapefruit.

Coffee and sweet things are natural bedfellows, something Grind knows all too well when it comes to their caffeinated arsenal. Try the Grind affogato and amaretti, or chocolate parfait with Grind espresso streusel and candied hazelnuts. Or if you’ve already OD’d on coffee, go for a less-jittery hot apple crumble sundae.
