Danish Bar pop-up on New Oxford Street for design showcase

danish bar londonDanish cuisine couldn't be more of the moment, so you should be excited about the prospect of a special week-long pop up from Denmark heading London's way. The Danish Bar will be on New Oxford Street from 19-23 September as part of international design show designjunction.

The drink and food side of things is being run by Anders Selmer - a well known Danish winemaker who was part of the founding team behind Noma."I'm looking forward to introduce a foreign audience to what I think is definitely some of Denmark's most interesting and delicious products."

So there'll be beer from Mikkeller bar, Danish wine from Lilleo and Anders will be bringing his own sparkling wine - the brilliantly named Skum 2010 to the bar as well as his white wine Arwen 2010.

To eat, they're working with organic Danish estate Knuthenlud to serve up a mixed charcuterie and goats and sheeps cheese plate.

As you might imagine for this venture, the look is also key - so furniture and lighting will be by Carl Hansen.

The Danish Bar runs from 19-23 September 2012 on the 1st floor at The Sorting Office, New Oxford Street, WC1A 1BA.
