This year, Valentine's Day will be spent in lockdown - but you can still make it a special occasion. Here are the London restaurants who are putting together special boxes for 14 February. And don't forget to order in the Prosecco DOC Rosé, which is a perfect match for a romantic dinner. (This page is updated regularly - newest additions are at the top of each section).
Boisdale (Nationwide delivery) is sending out two feasting kits for their Mi-Soul Valentine’s Night virtual party. Choose from the Fillet Steak or Fish Pie Feasting Kit with smoked salmon to start, a chocolate fondant to finish, a bottle of iconic Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne and a couple of Whitley Neill gin and Double Dutch tonics.
Two Tribes and from the Ashes BBQ - The London brewery has teamed up with the new BBQ stars pairing their beer with dishes like Nduja ‘Del Piero’ Doughnuts, Slow Smoked Beer Ribs and Fire Pit ‘Chocolate’ Profiteroles.
Ombra - their Italian feasting menu features Agnolotti, taleggio and black winter truffle and sea bream, violet artichoke and monk's beard (£100 for two).
Jose Pizarro has a Spanish feast for the day which includes spinach and goat cheese croquetas, Tortilla de patatas, Ibérico pork presa with pear & hazelnuts and more (£75 for two).
The Wolseley - The Corbin and King restaurant has two boxes - one focused around fish (Lemon & Dill Baked Loch Duart Salmon) and one on meat (Fillet of Beef with Peppercorn Sauce) and lots more besides (£150 for two).
Sartoria (Italian by Francesco Mazzei. £160 for two), German Gymnasium (German classics, including a strudel, £85 fot two), Orrery (modern European, £160 for two) and Bluebird (£150 for two) are all D&D London restaurants delivering nationwide.
Juici Jerk - If you're after a Caribbean-influences meal, this box features butterfly jerk chicken, plantain and lot more (£70).
Bubbleshop (England & Wales delivery) has a rather tempting The Ultimate Valentine's Snack package with a bottle of Dhondt-Grellet Dans un Premier Temps, a 50g tin of Kitchen Table Exmoor Caviar, Bubbledogs Tater Tots, and Creme Fraiche (£120) .
Sam's Riverside has a meal for two (£110) that includes gravadlax and Earl Grey cured chalk stream trout to start and a pavlova and mango pavlova to share.
Pizza Pilgrims have a special version of their Pizza in the Post which adds on a Nutella ring kit and a Snazzy Aperol Spritz kit for two (£30)
Norma - Ben Tish's Sicilian restaurant has a four-course feast with cocktails and wine. The main is aged beef tagliata, raddicio, pecorino and fig vinegar with truffle potatoes with pecorino sauce and it comes with a bottle of Sherazade Nero D’avola as well as Marsala and a Blood Orange Spritz (£175 - vegetarian box only still available)
Top Cuvee - They have a four-course menu which includes Beef or celeriac Wellington, potato terrine, roasted carrots and Yorkshire rhubarb and almond tart. it comes with a bottle of Le Grappin, ‘Saint Amore’ Gamy and there's also an exclusive scented candle in collaboration with Earl of East (£99 for two).
Smokestak - Their boxes are full of smoked BBQ delights like beef brisket and pulled pork as well as smoked cod's roe and more. They'll also come with rhubarb spritz and you can add on a bottle of Gran Cerdo Tinto Rioja if you want a proper red with your dinner.
Wiltons have a Valentine's Day box full of luxury treats from their suppliers like Imperial Caviar, smoked salmon and Amadei chocolate along with a bottle of wine or Champagne. It's £195 - email firstname.lastname@example.org before 4 February to order.
Wright Brothers - the seafood experts have a number of special platters for the day, including luxury seafood box with lobster, a dozen Carlingford oysters, cooked shell-on king prawns, half dozen scallops and shells and caviar Baeri. There's also a shellfish platter and you can add Wright Brothers Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Champagne. (From £55)
Hawksmoor (London delivery) - if you've missed out on their nationwide delivery, there's still a chance to order from their London restaurant - potted crab, steak, salted caramel Tributes and Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé Champagne is on the menu.
The Northall (London delivery) - Andre Garrett's restaurant at The Corinthia has a four-course menu featuring Parmesan gougères, hand-rolled Strozzapreti with sauce suprême & black truffle and Loch Fyne salmon en croûte (£130 for two).
Claude Bosi at Bibendum (within the M25) - The two Michelin starred restaurant's meal includes a seasonal seafood platter, winter pithivier, foie gras and black truffle "torchon" and comes with a bottle of Champagne (£135pp)
The Nook (5 miles from Islington) - The new Islington restaurant has a Valentine's menu that includes lobster and Prawn cannelloni, baked cheese with truffle honey, wild mushroom arancini and more. (£85 for two)
Maison Patron (London delivery) - for a very French menu, they have a number of new dishes on offer, including Coquilles St Jaques, Bouillabaisse, Shallot and Pear Thyme Tarte Tatin, Passion Fruit Soufflé, Truffles and Rosé & Lychee Cake (a la carte pricing).
Mortimer House Kitchen (Local delivery) - Head Chef Antonio ‘Lello’ Favuzzi has put together a finish-at-home feast that includes Aubergine Parmigiana and Porchetta Roast (£90 for two).
Luca (London postcodes delivery) - From the people behind The Clove Club, Luca's Valentine's menu features aged Bistecca Alla Fiorentina with Chianti butter to share, as well as strozzapreti with winter truffle butter. (£160 for two).
Bright x Fin and Flounder (Collection or delivery 3 miles from Bright) - The London fields neighbours are collaborating for a meal with oysters, Smoked Mackerel & Barley Miso Broth, Wild Turbot with a Sauce made from its grilled bones, Pumpkin & Chard Gratin and more (£95 for two).
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (Collection only) - if you fancy some Meat Fruit for Valentine's, Dinner is back for a special 5-course menu (there's also a veg option) which includes the famous Tipsy Cake too. (£140pp).
Spring (London delivery) - Skye Gyngell's restaurant has three breakfast in Bed boxes - with or without fizz - to kick off Valentine's day - and there's also a dried Kitten Grayson flower arrangement and vase included.
Vinoteca (within M25) - The three-course meal comes complete with wine pairings for each course (from £62)
Davies & Brook (London delivery) - Daniel Humm's restaurant has a box with dishes that include "Wild Seabass en Papillote with Capers, Lemongrass and Dill" and "Brown Crab Claws and Tiger Prawns served with a spicy cocktail sauce" plus lots more. If you're feeling quite spendy, you can add on caviar and Krug.
Indulge (Various London postcodes) - This delivery-only service from chef Andy Bowler has a special menu for the weekend of the 14th(£55pp)
Claridge's The Foyer (London delivery) has a Valentine’s Day Menu for £200. It's available from 11-14 February and includes a seafood cocktail, lobster or beef Wellington and a Vanilla and Rhubarb St. Honoré for dessert.
The Cavendish (within 7 miles of their pub in Marylebone) has a Wild Card Kit (£85 for two). An interactive cook at home kit with surprise ingredients supplied for one half to cook starter and the other on mains with instructions from Alex Povall. The box also includes a selection of canapes, dessert and a bottle of Prosecco.
Helene Darroze at the Connaught (Delivery 8 miles from The Connaught) - The Valentine's menu for one of London's newest 3-Michelin-starred restaurants has a special menmu on for the day which featuires Pigeon Pithivier, as well as gougeres, canales and much more.
Dinings (Delivery within M25) - This Valentine's feast for two from the Japanese restaurant includes tuna tartare and truffle soy, potted Native Lobster with hand-dived scallop and miso bisque and then a course of mosaiced ‘Chirashi’ sushi, made with raspberry-infused rice. (£140 for two)
Coya - Peruvian restaurant Coya has teamed with BYREDO for a box which has a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne, along with exclusive new aperitivos, ceviche, small plates, lobster and wagyu main course dishes, and a sweet rose-shaped dessert (plus a gift from BYREDO).
Cafe Murano (Delivery within M25) - Angela Hartnett's Italian restaurant has a menu that includes Mushroom arancini with Salumi and Artichoke alla Romana, Crab tortellini and Osso Buco, Risotto Milanese and Gremolata with Cavolo Nero. (£90)
The Sherlock Live afternoon tea (Greater London delivery) - Looking for something a little different? While you can't go to the immersive show, you can order this afternoon tea which comes with Sherlock-themes goodies and a mini-mystery to solve.
HG Walter (Greater London delivery) - The popular butcher has a menu which includes chicken liver parfait, and a choice of cote de boeuf or chateaubriand for two paired with Wagyu dripping hassleback potatoes, green beans with shallots, bone marrow with a garlic and chive crumb, a choice of red wine jus or chimichurri. (£100)
Issho Ni (Delivery 8 miles from Bethnal Green) - Japanese restaurant Issho-Ni has an 8-course menu paired with cocktails and sake for the night. At the heart of the menu is a Whole grilled truffle butter lobster and thin sliced wagyu beef nori fried rice.
Ham Yard (Central London postcodes) - Ham Yard's Executive Head Chef, Robin Read has created a box for two which features Lobster Thermidor AND Beef Wellington (£240)
Ormer Mayfair (Delivery within M25, pictured above) - Chef Kerth Gumbs has put together a special Valentine's box which includes a creamy pumpkin soup, their signature scallop starter and a cote de boeuf for two to share. It all finishes Ormer’s signature apple crumble dessert and handmade chocolates. Wine, champagne, cocktails and flowers can also be added. (£159 for two)
The Tapas Room (Collection from Battersea) - this hamper will contain everything you need to create a special Spanish Valentine's meal for two - and there will be a live cookalong that you can take part in on the night too.
Rogues London (Most London postcodes) - this chef duo (formerly at Galvin) have a four-course menu that includes "Mussel & clam chowder, smoked bacon & crispy beer batter scraps" and a choice of beef or mushroom wellington for the main with a chocolate & miso caramel fondant for dessert and a free bottle of Prosecco Millesimato (£95).
Homeslice's founder, Mark Wogan is hosting an hour-long virtual pizza and cocktail class on Valentine's Day. Guest will get a package in advance with everything they need to make two pizzas, two cocktails, and one large brownie. It's £45 to take part.
Pied a Terre have a very vegan Valentine's where dishes include bourguignon with chestnuts and cocoa crumble and there's an option to add in a bottle of vegan Champagne too. (£50 or £110 with the Champagne).
Park Chinois has a Love Chinois at Home Valentine’s menu to order (£195) on 13/14 February. The set includes cocktails, dim sum and Cantonese roast duck among other dishes. There are handy extras too including a bouquet of roses in case you haven't got yourself organised.
Prosecco DOC Rose has arrived in the UK, making this the first Valentine's Day when you can enjoy your favourite sparkling wine in a romantic pink hue with notes of cherry blossom, wild berries, strawberries and roses. Find out more.
