As Head Pie Maker at The Pie Room at Rosewood London, Nokuthula "Nokx" Majozi is one of London's most talented pastry specialists. 51 Nine Elms Ln, Nine Elms, London SW8 5BH

This small cafe sits in the heart of New Covent Garden Flower Market, which I visit at least twice a month with neighbourhood friends for new flowers and plants. Opening at 4am and closing around 9am, it follows the market's schedule perfectly. They offer a range of breakfast dishes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and hot drinks—ideal for taking a break during flower shopping. The super-friendly staff and beautiful flower decorations inside enhance the experience. They thoughtfully provide stands where you can place your flowers while enjoying your meal, whether for takeaway or sit-down. It's become an essential part of our flower market visits.

Arch 65 Queen's Circus, Nine Elms, London SW8 4NE

This hidden gem tucked underneath an old railway arch offers a cosy restaurant space with great atmosphere, amazing food and attentive staff. The chef's table overlooks the open kitchen where you can see all the action with charcoal fire and wood fire oven—perfect for intimate gatherings with friends. Their concise menu features beautifully executed seasonal dishes. The sea bream crudo with citrus pomelo melts in the mouth, while the lamb-stuffed courgette flower with horseradish mayo creates an interesting and complementary combination. Their fresh pappardelle with pork ragu and wood-roasted monkfish with asparagus showcase their skill with both pasta and seafood. Save room for their tiramisu — perfectly portioned and incredibly delicious, it's absolutely worth trying.

30 Wandsworth Rd, London SW8 2LG

Located in an elegant Georgian mansion, Brunswick House radiates charm from its chandelier-clad main dining room to the intimate terrace, perfect for al fresco dining in summer months. On my last visit, I was captivated by their vibrant combinations, particularly the potato bread with green garlic butter and the devilled eggs topped with delicate trout roe. The staff's passion for the local area shines through in their knowledgeable recommendations, and they expertly guide guests through their thoughtfully curated list of cocktails and wines.

This lively, New York-inspired establishment truly has it all—from an exceptional in-house bakery to spirited live music performances. The modern, chic décor creates the perfect backdrop for what I consider one of London's finest Sunday roasts. The open floor plan captures the energy and buzz of a Manhattan hotspot, with musicians adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant manages to balance sophistication with warmth, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual gatherings.

Battersea Power Station, Circus Rd W, Nine Elms, London SW11 8BZ

Housed within the iconic Battersea Power Station, this distinctive all-day bar occupies what was once the actual control room for the entire building—a heritage detail that informs its character and name. Weekend evenings with friends here have become a ritual I treasure, with skilled staff who delight in showcasing the nuance and craftsmanship behind each meticulously prepared cocktail. Their enthusiasm is genuinely contagious, and the thoughtfully curated menu of bar snacks provides the perfect accompaniment. The striking industrial space with its expansive floor plan and dramatic views creates one of London's most unique drinking experiences.
