At this moment, in this heat, the idea of getting a crowd together while chefs are grilling on fire around you may not seem too appleaing, but come September Meatopia is once again the place to be. Once again, over four days in Tobacco dock, an extremely impressive group of chefs will be cooking up something new - all the dishes at meatopia have been created for the event.
As for this year's line-up, it includes:
- Budgie Montoya of Sarap and who now heads up Cafe Kowloon.
- Ana Goncalves & Zijun Meng who created the chicken and steak mash-up Solis at Arcade (and previously TATA Eatery).
- Mark O'Brien - MasterChef finalist and the man behind Snake Oil Barbecue
- Scott O'Byrne & Tom Maher of Birmingham's Original Patty Men
- Danielle Heron of Manchester's Osma.
And there are LOTS more including Adriana Cavita (Cavita), Brad Carter (One Star Döner Bar, Island), Edson Diaz-Fuentes (Santo Remedio), Harneet Baweja (Empire Empire), Jay Claus (Rake), Josh Dallaway (Tasca), Karel Calek (Blacklock), Luke Larsson (Khao Bird), Man Hon Luk (Uncle Hon's BBQ), Marta Sandini (Lardo), Melissa Thompson, Sam Bryant (Whole Beast), Tom Zahir (Decatur) and even that['s just scratching the surface.
