Arôme Bakery is coming to Chinatown, and this one's going to do soft serve

arome bakery opening in chinatown

As one of the many Londoners who can't bring themselves to go past one of the two Arômes in town without diving in for a pastry or two, news that they're opening a second West End bakery is great. Their arrival in Chinatown this spring should be a huge boost to the area, and might help thin out the current hordes waiting in line at Onsu.

The new bakery opens this spring on the corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and Macclesfield Street, next door to De Hems. So you could pop into the pub for a frothy Dutch beer and bitterballen before popping next door for dessert.

We presume that all their fan favourite pastries, like the honey butter toast and miso bacon escargot, will be on offer. But there is one new item that is going to be a first, for this site, and that's seasonally changing soft serve. It's a small site, so it's really going to be mainly takeaway.

That's all we know so far. We'll keep you posted when we hear more about their opening date.
