StreetSmart is back, raising money for the homeless in the run up to Christmas

street smart campaign 2025 launches in London

We can’t believe it’s that time of year again! StreetSmart charity's 2025 campaign launched at the weekend at 670 restaurants across the UK (450 of those are in London). From North to South and East to West London you can dine out and donate to homeless projects in your area right up until 31 December. It couldn't be easier, just dine at any of the restaurants taking part this year and a £1 donation will be added to your bill.

It's great to see many new restaurants opting in, including Kudu, Silver Birch, One Club Row, Legado and Plates, plus restaurant groups Brindisa, Bancone, Tonkotsu and Lina Stores.

As well as their usual fundraising, StreetSmart will be selling a special Christmas toastie in collaboration with Fortnum's in the store throughout December. Five chefs took part in the competition to have their toastie served up - Andrew Clarke, Karan Gokani, Jeremy Lee, Anna Tobias and Tom Brown with the winner being announced tomorrow.

“For those of us fortunate enough to be able to pick and choose when and what to eat, StreetSmart is a way to support the people who simply don’t know where their next meal will come from," is how chef and restaurateur Hélène Darroze explained her involvement. "At a time when the world has felt more divided than ever, it has never been more important to look out for our most vulnerable neighbours.”
