She's known for her graphic, cheery clothes featuring giant croissants and cherries worn by the likes of Katy Perry and Lena Dunham. Now, West London-based fashion designer Olivia Rubin has taken her love of baked goods a step further. One month after teaming up with Waitrose to design a croissant bag for life, she's gearing up to open her own bakery.
But before you get too excited, the upcoming bakery is only going to be a pop-up rather than a permanent venture. Croissant Clothes, she says, will be "a mini bakery-boutique. Taste pastries. Try on clothes. Shop for stocking fillers. Feel the art of taking things slow."
The pop-up will run for three days on Portobello Road and will be a place "where pastries meet handpicked pieces".
