It's one of the most prestigious wine awards in the world, so getting a mention by the Star Wine List is a big deal for any London restaurant. So we're delighted to learn that four London restaurants are popping their corks, having won key awards this year. The ceremony, which was held in Vienna last week, looks at the best wine lists across the globe. And it was a restaurant in Mayfair that was this city's big winner this year.
Dovetale in Mayfair picked up a gold star for its Californian wine list. "From by-the-glass selections to mature bottles, there are many ways to fall in love with the Golden State here. A masterful list," said judge Stephen Wong MW of the London restaurant's offering. Wine Director Tara Ozols (pictured above) won sommelier of the year from Michelin, when she was previously at Soho Californian restaurant Sola, so she's clearly continued that winning streak at Dovetale too.
