Pizza Pilgrims next pizzeria is on Brick Lane

Pizza Pilgrims next pizzeria is on Brick Lane

A second Pizza Pilgrims is on the way to Shoreditch, this time opening on Brick Lane opening as part of the Truman Brewery.

If you've been to a Pizza Pilgrims before, you'll know what to expect: 72-hour, double-fermented dough, used in all their Neapolitan pizzas. And as for the pizzas themselves, alongside the classics, you'll find:

  • Nduja - Spicy & meaty Calabrian sausage on a margherita.
  • Smoky Aubergine - Char-grilled aubergines, tomato, smoked mozzarella, garlic herb oil & basil. With crispy onions and Pecorino Romano.
  • Mushroom & truffle - A truffle ricotta base with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms & Parmesan
  • You've Got Maiale - A tomato base with prosciutto cotto, nduja, salsiccia & pepperoni. Finished with burrata, red onions & a balsamic glaze.

It's going to be one of the Pilgrims' bigger restaurants, taking over a corner space of the brewery and fitting in 108 people. This is also something of a homecoming for brothers Thom and James Elliot: "The Truman Brewery was actually the very first place we built a pizza oven and served guests up on the roof back in the early supperclub days of Forza Win in 2013."
