MEATliquor are opening BLOODsports bar and Hideout Coffee in Covent Garden

It's been a while since we had anything new in from the team behind MEATliquor, so it's fair to say we're looking forward to seeing what they have planned for their next venture in Covent Garden. From a peruse of their socials it looks like Londoners are getting a two-for-one with both BLOODsports and Hideout Coffee opening in the same spot. The space itself used to be Circus so it's a cavernous underground place which sounds perfect for what's planned.

For the bar, we're told that BLOODsports is a new sports bar from MEATliquor founder Scott Collins. Also dubbed a 'watching bar' as opposed to all the listening bars that have been opening recently, it's a combo of dive bar and sports bar. On the multiple screens there will be live broadcasts of all major sports day and night. And once the sport is done, those screens will be showing a series of late-night horror movies instead.

On the drinks front you'll have a mix of slushies and highballs while the food menu is going to be all the usual MEATliquor classics like the Dead Hippie and Monkey Fingers along with some exclusive new dishes.

As for the coffee side of things, Hideout Coffee started life as a Portsmouth coffee house that they're also bringing to this location and it sounds like it'll fit right in with the whole MEATliquor/BLOODsports aesthetic. That started life as a coffee speakeasy before opening its doors as a standalone coffee and donut space on the south coast. Donut options include a pistachio white choc, a millionaire's filled with dulce de leche and a vegan Homer with strawberry jam and Get Baked rainbow sprinkles.
